BEAUTY TREND: DIOR CRUISE COLLECTION 2015

The Black Eyeliner is the new beauty trend as seen in the Dior Cruise collection 2015.
Peter Philips, creative and image director for Dior makeup has for the first time, worked with Raf Simons on the Dior Cruise 2015 Runway Show.
He has created makeup in total symbiosis with the collection, in harmony with the looks, which are colourful with splashes of black.

I wanted to create makeup that was both light and sophisticated,

emphasized Philips,

In keeping with the cruise spirit, fluid clothing and the summery atmosphere. The common theme in this collection is in fact the colour black, which links all the looks together, Raf Simons and I wanted the makeup to be graphic and elegant, to accentuate both the beauty of the silhouettes, and this omnipresent black colour.

THE LOOK

EYES
Peter Philips emphasized that the eyes are the focal point of this makeup look thanks to the black eyeliner drawn straight across the upper eyelid using the new Dior it-line eye-liner in black (Summer 2014) which contains a colour scheme of iridescent black, gray pink and white. Lashes are coated with Diorshow iconic overcurl waterproof in black or with Dior Addict it-lash mascara in black (Summer 2014) and eyebrows are accentuated without looking too heavy, using Diorskin powder eyebrow pencil”

COMPLEXION
A semi-matte complexion is obtained using Diorskin star foundation “I wanted to create the illusion of a perfect complexion that is both matte and radiant.” Philips explains, “Cheekbones are emphasized with a light sweep of Diorblush vibrant colour powder in “My Rose’ which is also brushed across the chin to frame the face”

LIPS
“We chose a discreet and natural lip in a beige tone, which is simply accentuated with RougeDior in ‘Tompe-L’oeil’.

Hair
Hair by Guido Palau. The styling here is also natural, with hair falling freely over the shoulders.
