JULIANNE MOORE’S CHANEL DRESS DETAILS AT THE OSCAR’S

WINNER of the Best Actress Award for her performance in “Still Alice”, Julianne MOORE wore CHANEL Haute Couture to the 87th Academy Awards.

The bustier long dress is custom made by Karl Lagerfeld in white organza lined with satin crepe and embroidered with 80,000 small white hand painted resin sequins and flowers made of ivory, beige and black organza, tulle and sequins. She wore black grosgrain sandals.

Her beautiful dress required 987 hours of work and 27 people to complete.

215 hours of work to assemble the dress in Paris.

Embroideries with the Lunéville hook technique, 80 000 small white hand painted resin sequins, 6 embroiderers for 150 hours of embroidery work.
Atelier Montex flowers braids made of ivory, beige and black organza and tulle embroidered of crystal sequins. Several layers of flowers embroidered with the Lunéville technique on organza and tulle. 15 embroiderers and 600 hours of work for 160 flowers.
2 seamstresses and 22 hours of work to finish the dress in Los Angeles.

I wanted that dress to feel timeless and classic. I wanted to feel like I could look back and always love it
