In the search of inspiring ideas for a Magical Wedding look we’ve found with Swarovski a fantastical and glittery piece that will captivate the eyes of everyone on your wedding day. At Swarovski in Vienna, on the ground floor stage where changing installations are regularly presented, a developed and realized collaboration with artists and designers under the artistic lead of Gerda Buxbaum, who is the former head of the Schloss Hetzendorf fashion school, innovative works are displayed front and centre. Now on the stage: "Swan Lake. Enchanting swan – enchanted swan"? from August 2 to September 12. The constellation, at Swarovski Wien on Kaerntner Strasse 24, is shaped like a flying swan. The glittering Swarovski crystals sparkle magically in the night sky and the bright band of the Milky Way angelically hangs behind it. In Greek mythology, the swan was the incarnation of the god Zeus who, while in this form, preyed on young women. In performance, one of the most famous ballets is Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake”: the unhappy, enchanted princess who is freed from a sorcerer’s evil spell through the love of a prince. The ballerina sits beneath the constellation of the swan in a crystal costume, draped in a sea of white feathers, and awaits her salvation. Among the works on display for Swarovski Runway Rocks is a headpiece designed by Shaun Leane & Philip Treacy for Alexander McQueen.?The concept and realization is by Dr. Gerda Buxbaum.

Last night was the premiere of Eat, Pray, Love in New York City. Lancôme Ambassadress Julia Roberts’ red carpet makeup was created by celebrity makeup artist Genevieve Herr who channeled a chic and modern look that played up Julia’s light brown eyes and her sleek black ensemble. For a natural complexion, Genevieve used our new Teint Miracle Foundation, an amazing radiance-boosting foundation launching next November, Laura Mercier Secret Concealer and Secret Brightening Powder followed by a cream blush in plum on the apples of the cheeks. She wanted to give Julia soft, smoky eyes with a mix of blacks and plums. To achieve this, she first applied Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony to line the eyes and then blended shadows from our new fall French Coquettes collection called the French Touch Color Design Quad. Her lashes were topped with Définicils Precious Cells Mascara in Black for a full, natural lash. She finished the look with a neutral lip using Le Lipstique Lip Liner in Sheer Natural, Color Design Lipstick in Love It! and a touch of Juicy Tubes in Spring Fling for the perfect photo-ready pout.

Chelsea Clinton tied the knot with Marc Mezvinsky in a lavish wedding at the exclusive Astor Courts estate, a secluded site along New York’s Hudson River, built more than a century ago as a ‘Beaux Arts’ style playground for John Astor IV.
The elegant bride astonished her guests by wearing a Vera Wang ivory gown, a strapless raw-edged laser cut swirling full skirt with silk tulle, diagonally draped bodice accented at the waist with embellished crystals. Chelsea chose a classic bouquet designed with white flowers, a long flowing veil, diamond earrings and bracelet to complement her opulent look. Her new husband looked impressive in a Burberry tuxedo.
